My profile: Shigeki Iimura One morning when I was 27Encountering a Crested Kingfisher When I was working for a company, I photographed wild birds as a hobby. I discovered that there was a Common kingfisher in the pond I used to go to. I decided to pitch a tent by the pond and take some photos of Common kingfishers. Before dawn, I went into the tent and waited for the Common kingfishers. As dawn broke and it got a little brighter, we could see the pond from inside the tent. Suddenly, a Crested kingfisher landed on a branch in front of me.
